Taking Flight: Young Minds Explore Aerodynamics

From classroom concepts to hands-on discovery

On 03 September 2026, the STEM Club students of Class V conducted a test launch of their assembled gliders on the school greens. The hands-on activity introduced them to the fascinating principles of flight and aerodynamics as they tested their own creations and observed their performance. Students explored how forces such as lift, weight, thrust and drag, along with wing shape, balance and streamlined design, influence flight. The activity provided an engaging platform for students to apply scientific concepts beyond the classroom. Through observation, experimentation and thoughtful analysis, the young learners developed a deeper understanding of aerodynamics while nurturing their curiosity, problem-solving skills and spirit of scientific inquiry.
