How to Apply

The Application Process

Option 1

Online Registration

The Online Registration Form will be available on the school’s website (www.spsmayurvihar.edu.in) from Thursday, 04 December 2025 to Saturday, 27 December 2025. The registration fee of ₹25 is paid online.

Option 2

Offline Registration

A hard copy of the Registration Form is available at Gate No. 1 on cash payment of ₹25, or can be downloaded from the school’s website during the same window (04–27 December 2025) with the ₹25 fee deposited in cash. Last day for submission of offline forms with all required documents at the school office: Saturday, 27 December 2025.

Classes KG–IX and XI

Admissions to KG–IX & XI

Step 1

Registration

Apply for Classes KG to IX, subject to seat availability, by completing the online registration form and paying the registration fee of ₹25.

Step 2

Document Submission

Submit the report card of the last examination, residence proof, the child’s MCD birth certificate, and a medical fitness certificate attested by a certified MBBS doctor.

Step 3

Written Test

Applicants appear for a grade-appropriate written test followed by an interaction. The decision of the Management in all matters is final.

Eligibility Criteria

For KG – II

Interaction of parents with the School Counsellor and Class Coordinator. Shortlisted candidates will have an interaction with the Headmistress.

For Classes III – V

Written test of objective and subjective-type questions aligned with the syllabus, conducted by the school. Minimum 75% marks required each in English, Hindi, Mathematics and EVS. Shortlisted candidates who meet the criteria are called for an interaction with the Headmistress for admission.

For Classes VI – IX

Written test of objective and subjective-type questions aligned with the NCERT syllabus, conducted by the school. Minimum 50% marks required each in English, Hindi, Mathematics and Science. Shortlisted candidates who meet the criteria are called for an interaction with the HoS.

For Class XI

Provisional admission (till Board results) is granted based on an Admission Test of subjective-type questions aligned with CBSE. Shortlisted candidates are called for an interaction with the Principal. Interaction does not guarantee provisional admission; the final result is communicated telephonically. Provisional admission is cancelled if the candidate fails to qualify the Board Examination.

Transport

Transport Guidelines
  1. 01The school provides transport to students on a ‘No profit, No loss’ basis.
  2. 02The school charges an annual transport fee for 11 months, distributed over the year. Parents are liable to pay the transport fee for the entire year.
  3. 03School transport can only be availed as per the availability of seats.
  4. 04Students are expected to come to the designated bus stop 05 minutes before the scheduled arrival time of the bus. The school bus will only wait for 30 seconds.
  5. 05Students should sit on designated seats in the bus and not stick their arms or head out of the window.
  6. 06Any student found indulging in acts of violence or indiscipline in the bus shall be liable to disciplinary action against him/her. In such cases the bus facility can be withdrawn.
  7. 07The private school bus facility is based on an annual contract with a vendor. Hence, no withdrawal, except in case of taking TC, will be possible in the middle of the session.
  8. 08Parents should bring a Parent Identity Card to pick up their ward at the designated bus stop. Students will only be handed over to the authorised representative, after school.
  9. 09No parent should board the bus. In case of any issue, school authorities should be approached.
  10. 10The school will be fully authorised to change routes/stops depending on traffic conditions and the number of students enrolled for a route.
  11. 11The indicated bus stops may vary by up to 300 metres, and no representation will be accepted.
  12. 12Bus routes will not run if the strength of students utilising a bus falls below 75% of the seating capacity. In such a case, the bus will be withdrawn with one month’s notice to parents and the extra amount, if any, shall be refunded.
  13. 13Routes may be merged under demanding circumstances or to make it more economical for the parents. This may increase/decrease the commuting time for students. The school solicits cooperation from the parents in such cases.
  14. 14In case of non-payment of monthly/quarterly fees, the bus facility will be withdrawn.
  15. 15In cases where a student travels unescorted to or from the designated bus stop, the school shall not be held responsible for the child’s safety during that time.
  16. 16Students who are unescorted from the bus stop need to submit an undertaking, available with the School Transport In-charge.

Van / other public vehicle users

  • To ensure the safety of all students, the school strongly advises parents against using private vans or cabs. Parents are responsible for the safe pick-up and drop-off of their children. Using unregulated private transportation poses significant safety risks, especially for younger students.
  • For schoolchildren below 12 years of age, the number of children carried shall not exceed one and a half times the permitted seating capacity of the vehicle. Children above 12 years of age shall be treated as one person.
  • There must be enough space to keep school bags inside the vehicle; bags should not be hung outside the vehicle or placed on roof carriers.
  • Students using private vans are required to submit an undertaking, along with the following documents, to their class teachers within 10 days from the beginning of the session:
  • Identity card of the driver
  • Police verification of the driver
  • Vehicle documents: Registration Certificate (RC)
  • Insurance papers
  • Vehicle Fitness Certificate

Please note that the school shall not be held liable for students commuting by private vans or any other non-school transport. Parents are advised to ensure timely pick-up, as students will not be allowed to wait on the school premises for a second round of a private van.

Walkers / students commuting under their own arrangements

  • Parents are required to carry the Parent Identity Card while picking up their ward from school. Entry to the school premises will be permitted only on producing the Identity Card. If the Identity Card is not available, parents must first obtain an out-pass from the school reception before proceeding for pick-up.
  • Ensure timely drop-off and pick-up from the designated area in school.
  • Always follow traffic rules and park your vehicle in the designated area.
  • In case of riding a two-wheeler, both the driver and the student must wear a helmet.
  • The use of bicycles is permissible for students from Class VI and above. However, the use of any motor vehicle by students of all classes is strictly prohibited.
  • Ensure that the class teacher/class coordinator is informed in advance if your ward has to be picked up from school by any other person in your absence on any given day.
  • In case a student commutes independently, an undertaking provided by the school must be duly filled in and submitted to the class teacher.
  • Maintain a respectful and courteous attitude towards school staff and other parents.

Self-driven users

  • No student who is underage or does not possess a valid driving licence issued by the appropriate authority is allowed to drive any vehicle. Violation of this rule will result in necessary action by the school authorities.
  • As per the circular issued by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, Directorate of Education (School Branch, Old Secretariat, Delhi-110054) DE.23(563)/Sch. Br./2020-21/999 dated 21.12.2020, under Section 199A (1 & 2) and 199B of The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019, if an offence is committed by an underage individual, his/her guardian or the owner of the vehicle will be held accountable and subject to legal consequences accordingly.

Note: It is the sole responsibility of the parents to pick up and drop off their wards.

Does the school operate its own bus service?

Yes. Salwan runs its own fleet, managed in partnership with Walia Tourist Corporation, covering the neighbourhoods around Mayur Vihar Phase-III.

How is the transport fee calculated?

Transport fees are charged according to distance slabs and billed monthly. The service is optional and applicable only to students who avail of the transport facility.

How do we register for transport?

You may register for the transport service at the time of admission or by contacting the Accounts Office. Seats are allotted on the selected route subject to availability, and the applicable transport fee is added to the quarterly fee bill.

Are the buses GPS-tracked?

Yes. Every bus carries GPS tracking, with a female attendant on board and trained drivers for the safety of children throughout the journey.

Transport queries are handled by the Transport In-charge, Shri Anurag Awasthi, through the school reception.
