Road Safety Awareness Drive

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar, organised a Road Safety Awareness Drive on Thursday, 08 October 2026, in collaboration with the members of the Social Responsibility Council, under the supervision and guidance of their teachers.

The drive aimed to sensitise parents and road users about safe drop-off practices, responsible driving, and strict adherence to traffic rules. Students actively interacted with parents and encouraged them to use the designated drop-off area and avoid stopping or parking in no-parking zones or near the school gate. They also highlighted the importance of ensuring that children alight from vehicles on the school side of the road and enter the school gate safely.

Parent Volunteers present during the drive played a significant role in sensitising fellow parents about road safety and responsible driving practices. Traffic Police personnel were also present outside the school gate to ensure the safety and security of students, regulate traffic, and facilitate smooth traffic movement. The collective efforts of students, parents, teachers, and traffic department made the drive a meaningful and impactful initiative towards creating a safer, more disciplined, and orderly environment around the school.
