Introducing Young Learners to the World of MUN

Salwan Public School, Mayur Vihar-III, organised an engaging orientation session for students of Classes IV to VI, conducted by Mr Vaibhav Chitkara, Chief Advisor, SAMUN 2026. The session introduced students to Model United Nations (MUN) and familiarised them with the purpose and functioning of the United Nations.

The session highlighted how MUN encourages young learners to listen attentively, ask questions, exchange ideas and appreciate diverse perspectives. Mr Chitkara also introduced the students to the Young Stakeholders Meet (YSM), explaining how it enables them to explore real-world issues by representing different stakeholders and understanding their concerns.

The orientation emphasised the importance of constructive dialogue, collaboration and solution-oriented thinking. It offered students valuable insights into how MUN and YSM can help them develop communication, critical thinking and decision-making skills from an early age.
